Nor will I -- but I think that Ragnar's devotion to Athelstan is quite unshakeable, especially after having lost him. How we will effect that intense depth of loss and grief despite Milliways, we have already worked out -- so we can go and torture our charries some more.

I actually think Ragnar might get his door back after his baptism, and only stay alive because of what people in Milliways can do for him. Injuries like that were usually not really survivable, and Ragnar doesn't get worse, he just doesn't get better, either.

I will have to discuss this with Charlotte.

Ohhh, when Athelstan sees him in that state, he'll move heaven and earth to keep him alive and make him well again if he can.

Yep -- it will be a good reason why Ragnar does miraculously not die, but doesn't get better, either. Milliways can heal him, but his world doesn't accept the changes he returns with for long.

Also, a good reason as to why nobody dies in the sack of Paris.
